Terms of use

Last updated: 9 September 2026. These terms apply to the PhonIQ Android application (com.phoniq.app) and this website. They are a public draft — not a substitute for counsel.

The product

PhonIQ is software that can act as your default Phone and SMS app on Android 15 or newer. Money features interpret SMS already stored on the device. PhonIQ is not a bank, wallet, UPI app, or licensed financial advisor. Figures in Money are only as accurate as the messages and parsers allow.

Your responsibilities

• Use PhonIQ only on a device and account you are allowed to control.
• Comply with call-recording and telecommunications law in your location, including consent of the other party where required.
• Keep your backup passphrase. We cannot recover encrypted backups.
• Do not use PhonIQ to harass, spam, or intercept communications that are not yours.

Availability

Features depend on the Android version, OEM Telecom implementation, and Google Play Services. Dual-SIM routing, custom ringtones, and remote-leg call recording may not work on every device. Optional Chat requires a working network and two PhonIQ installs; this build does not include push notifications.

Liability

The app and site are provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for missed calls, failed messages, incorrect Money parsing, or loss of data if you forget a passphrase or restore the wrong file. Google Play’s refund and consumer rules apply to Play purchases, if any exist.
